Hey guys!
Long time, no post. I hope you're all doing well. I got a job and I've been busy hence no posts. However I could not pass up on the opportunity of showing you all my finds from Primark. I hope you enjoy and I apologise in advance for the obscene amount of selfies, however I wanted to show you the clothes on me, rather than just laid out.
Fistly I bought this bowler (?) hat from H'n'M for £7.99. You'll see it in the upcoming pics and I bought it on the same trip so I thought I'd include it in this post.
First thing from Primark is a bikini. The pattern is not completly my style but I loved the cut as the bottom is slightly high-waisted and neither of the parts is skimpy. I prefer bikinis like this as I feel like they are more flattering on me and I feel less self concious in them.
Top : Size 10 : £8
Bottom : Size 12 : £5
Next up I bought a few things from Primark. When I was browsing the tops I saw nothing that I liked and I realised that I'm not a top person. I prefer simple, plain tops or cool sweatshirts and t-shirts rather than the sheer blouses, fancy crops and g*d knows what else. So I opted for 3 vest tops one in blue, lilac and white all for £2 each. I figured they'd go with pretty much anything.
I also bought the Kimono. I really liked it's Aztec style print and it's affordable price since I wasn't too sure about the kimono trend so I figured cheap is good. Now that I own it I think that it looks awesome and I think that it will become a staple in my summer wardrobe. It's only downside is that the inside is not printed so it doesn't look the best when it pops out :( However for the price I don't really think I can complain
The shorts I picked up from ARK not Primark but like the hat it was on the same trip so I'm including them. I got them on sale and they were the last pair. I think that they're very flattering as the cover the thickest part of my thighs thereby making my legs appear slimmer. They are also very comfortable unlike the denim shorts I bought from H'n'M a couple of months back. I cannot walk or sit in those comfortably but these don't cause discomfort. They were originally £30 but I got them for a bargainous £12.
Kimono : Size 12 : £8
Vests : Size 12 ( I wanted them loose) : £2 each
Shorts : ARK : Size 12 ( loose fit) : £12
Next, I picked up this paisley print maxi skirt. On the picture above I'm wearing it back to front but I preferred having the slits show off my legs, making the skirt a bit more flirty. The elastic in the skirt is quite stretchy so I could have gotten away in picking it up in a size 8 however due to my height (I'm 5ft9 ) it would have been to short so I opted for size up from my normal size.
Skirt : Size 12: £10
The subsequent item that I picked up was this beautiful baby blue, faux leather jacket. It's an alternative for the same style jacket from ZARA that is sold for a whopping £90 and is apparently quite stiff and uncomfortable. This jacket is lovely and soft and very flattering. I think it'll be perfect for cooler summer days, nights and early autumn. They also had this jacket also in baby pink ( which I was considering buying, but I already have a leather jacket in that colour and blue is less seasonal than pink), grey and I think white. Maybe some more. I considered the getting the grey jacket since it can be worn year round but it had fugly yellow-gold zippers which made it look tacky and cheap :/ So far I'm very pleased with my choice ;)
Jacket : Size 12 : £25
In addition to the vests, I picked up this plain, two colour t-shirt. I think that it looks really good tied up as the white makes it appeared more detailed.
T-shirt : Size 10 : £2 ( originally £5)
Next up I bought this dress. It was paired with similar to the ones I'm wearing and I kimono and I thought it was the coolest outfit ever. So I bought it ;P It has beautiful open back which makes it quite flirty but I couldn't get a decent picture of it. If I do I'll make sure to post it. The only downside of it is that the waist is not stretchy so no room for food babies :/
Dress : Size 10 : £12
I also picked up this beauty. I don't even have words for how much I adore this dress. It's so feminine, flowy and classy and I think I'm gonna wear it for my birthday this year which is in just over a month's time. They had this in colours like baby-blue, white, peach, lilac and many others. I'm considering going back and picking it up in another colour.
Dress : Size 8 : £10 (!!!)
I also picked up this pair of funky gingham high waited pants. I thought they were really fun. The thing is they're supposed to be ankle grazers and they're pretty far up from my ankles. #TallGirlProbz I think I can get away with it. They're soft and stretchy and in my eyes, simply cool.
Now for the show stealers, these beautiful sand coloured booties. They are the perfect year round shoes (at least in England) and they give a festival-esque feel to any outfit. Simply in love.
Booties : Size 6 ( wide fit but I wear normal fit, that's just where I fond them) : £18
I also picked up this cute pink bag. I think it'll be a good summer alternative to my small, black River Island bag.
Bag : £6
The last thing that I bought was this awesome flower crown. It makes me go into my Lana Del Rey mode, whom I love <3 Perfect summer accessory , and a perfect end to my post. See you in my next one.
Flower crown/ headband : £4 ( bit dear, especially for Primark but I couldn't resist)
