Sweetthing learns fast..last time we set Azaleas I showed her how to operate the post hole diggers..now she is a pro! I marked the spot and she dug the holes and I sliced the root's balls and set the azaleas in the hole.

While sweetthing was watering both new and old plants here I went to work on..

THIS pretty thing. I bought it at the local flea market yesterday..beautiful flowers but eat up with leaf blackspot and a fungus mold. I cut off all the old leaves..probably 3/4s of the plant went in a garbage bag. But the tap root looked healthy and of course it was root bound in a gallon pot...so I sliced its ball and dug a hole for it under a small tree where it will have all shade or filtered sun. I reckon next step is to start treating with a fungicide..reminds me a song from my 'yooth' "There's A Fungus Among Us"...I was too young at the time to realize the song was about democrats...
