Conor McGregor was mobbed by fans outside a California restaurant just days before his UFC 264 showdown with Dustin Poirier.
The Irishman, who earned more money than any other athlete in 2020, took his team out for what was supposed to be a quiet meal to celebrate reaching the end of camp for the trilogy bout.

The Irish superstar had locked himself away in Dubai to train religiously for the bout, before relocating to the west coast of America to taper down his training before the fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Yet his quiet evening was scuppered when thousands of fans flocked to the restaurant to catch a glimpse of their hero as he left in his Rolls Royce.
Taking to Instagram Live to document the crazy moment, 'The Notorious' admitted he was stuck and unable to leave due to the congestion and then decided to shadow box out of the car to give the fans a glimpse.

McGregor could be heard saying. 'Jesus Christ, look at this' as the crowd were held back by police and flashed cameras into his face.
Coach John Kavanagh explained what happened on Twitter, saying: "Quiet end-of-camp team meal... Turns into streets shut down when word got around. Nuts haha."
After admitting inactivity and a lack of concentration on MMA training cost him against 'The Diamond' in Abu Dhabi, the 32-year-old has ramped up his training efforts in a bid to avenge the defeat.
McGregor knows he must make the necessary adjustments to avenge his loss to Poirier
"Training is going good," he told a fan. "There are just about three more days of work and then I'll just taper it in, although I've been doing single sessions the last week or so.
"I've halved the work I'm doing the last week or so, I suppose the body is getting ready now but I'm still sparring, grappling heavy, doing tough training.
"I suppose the cycle in has been almost like a second session as well, I've almost been getting three sessions a day to be honest.
"I've been waking up cycling to the gym, getting my training in, then going home from the gym, that's essentially three sessions a day I've been doing."
